The activity begins with a morning market visit to purchase produce for the day`s recipes. The chef will then provide expert tips and propose delicious traditional or creative recipes that easily can be made again at home. Private Reims and Champagne Tour with Champagne Tastings
A wonderful day of sightseeing and tasting through the Montagne de Reims. In the morning, the Marne valley and your first tasting with a visit at a small Champagne house. Visit of Hautvillers, an attractive village on the southern slope of the Montagne de Reims, with old houses and hand-painted wrought-iron signs, it forms part of the three-top wine-growing areas of Ay, Hautvillers and Avenay. Dom Perignon (1638-1715), who is buried in the old abbey church of Hautvillers, was in charge of the cellars of the Benedictine abbey. The monk was the first to blend various wines to produce Champagne. He also supervised the double fermentation process and initiated the use of cork. Dom Perignon invented the science of Champagne and personifies the spirit of the Champagne people, a mix of method and audacity. In the afternoon, visit Reims cathedral where most French Kings were crowned. Visit and tasting of a major Champagne house and cellars.
Versailles Estate Tour
During the trip your guide will tell you about the story of the Palace and how the court was living during the Sun King reign. With its chateaux, gardens, and parks, Versailles is an immense estate. Louis XIV, the Sun King, is the creative force of Versailles. He turned Versailles into a sumptuous estate and the symbol of absolute monarchy in the 17th century. Louis Le Vau and then Jules Hardouin-Mansart and Charles Lebrun are the main architects of Versailles and the Grand Trianon and Andre Le Notre for the gardens.
